Well, Isn't That Just Peachy!

Peaches are in season at last and boy are they good! To celebrate, we’ve put together three of our favorite peach recipes for you to try this fall!

Peach Chutney

This peach chutney goes so well with pork--in any form! It’s sweet and full of fall spices! It is also fabulous over goat cheese or a brie! This is not a recipe you want to pass up!

6 cups peach, peeled and diced

1 cup dry cherries

½ cup bourbon

½ cup brown sugar

1 tbsp cinnamon

2 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp clove

1 tsp allspice

1 tsp ginger

½ tsp salt

Add everything to a saucepot and cook until peaches are soft, cherries are hydrated and all the flavors have come together for about 1 hour.

Peach Cobbler

We all love a good peach cobbler, so if you don’t have a recipe for one, we got one for you!

For the filling:

3 pounds of peaches, peeled and sliced

¼ cup brown sugar

2 tbsp white sugar

2 tbsp corn starch

½ tsp lemon juice

2 tsp cinnamon

Combine all ingredient and pour into a glass baking dish.

For the topping:

2 cups flour

½ cup white sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

8 tbsp cold butter, cut into cubes

¾ cup milk

Combine all ingredients starting with the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and butter. Work the butter into the flour mixture to create a sandy texture. Add the milk and spread across the peaches. Bake at 375F for 30-45 minutes or until golden on top and bubbly on the sides. Serve with vanilla ice cream!

Peach Sangria

Sit back and enjoy the fall with this sweet peach sangria!

1 bottle reisling

¼ cup brandy

¼ cup triple sec

1 cup orange juice

1 cup pineapple juice

¼ cup simple syrup

¾ cup peach puree (blend peeled peaches until smooth. Add a small bit of water to help)

3 cups fresh peaches, sliced

Combine all ingredients and pour over ice! Enjoy!
