Spinach Dip Two Ways

Spinach Dip Two Ways

Spinach dip is a super good and easy snack. It goes great with veggies, chips, and crackers as well as smeared onto a burger. There are also different kinds of spinach dip! You can have it cold or hot and either way, it’s bound to be delicious. Here are two ways to make spinach dip--one hot and one cold!

Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip

Ingredients:

1 package frozen spinach

8oz cream cheese

2 cup shredded cheddar

1 can artichoke hearts

1 tbsp garlic

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp fresh thyme

½ cup seasoned bread crumbs

Method:

After the spinach has defrosted, strain out as much excess liquid as you can. If possible, squeeze in cheesecloth to help wring it out. Set in a bowl and set aside.

Chop the artichoke hearts so they are pretty small but still have some body to them. Add to the spinach. Mince the garlic and chop the thyme. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Spread mixture into a pan and sprinkle with the bread crumbs. Bake in the oven at 350 until melty and golden on top.

If you don’t want to bake this, mix all ingredients in the crockpot and stir periodically, cooking on low until the mixture is hot and melty.

Cold Shrimp and Spinach Dip

Ingredients:

8oz frozen cocktail shrimp

1 package frozen spinach

½ cup mayo

½ cup sour cream

1 tbsp garlic

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

Method:

If needed, cook the shrimp. Allow cooling. Once the spinach is done defrosting, strain and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

Chop the shrimp up to smaller pieces to help evenly disperse throughout the dip.

Mix all ingredients together. Serve chilled.
